We have a network of international bank relationships to support the requirements of our corporate customers and those of the Co-operative network. In addition to Trade Finance (Letters of Credits, Guarantees, Discounting, ECA), we provide products/services to financial and non-bank financial institutions in the areas of Capital Markets; Project Finance and Payments.

Debt Capital Markets Origination

We provide services to Asia/Pacific issuers to diversify their funding base, particularly in Europe. Issuers of investment grade quality with a focus on Covered Bonds and senior unsecured transactions are at the centre of the bank’s DCM business – in particular ESG-focused.

Who uses your services and expertise?

We accompany the customers of DZ BANK Germany as well as those of our shareholders, the German Cooperative Banks, into the Asian region. Equally, we offer our expertise and networks in the German and European markets to Asian companies.

What are crucial factors for a successful venture into the ASEAN market?

Start with a detailed market research including regulatory matters and offers of tax/investment incentives, possibly team up with a local partner, bring a lot of understanding for cultural differences, be adaptable and digitally agile and you will find a market with a young, energetic population eager to learn and consume.
