Souad Benkredda becomes a member of the Board of Managing Directors of DZ BANK AG

At its meeting today, the Supervisory Board of DZ BANK AG appointed Souad Benkredda to succeed Wolfgang Köhler, the member of the Board of Managing Directors responsible for Capital Markets business and Group Treasury. Wolfgang Köhler (62) will be entering the next phase of his life on 31 December 2022, after more than 40 years with the Cooperative Financial Network, including as a member of the Board of Managing Directors of DZ BANK since 2007. Souad Benkredda will join the Bank on 1 September 2022.

In his various functions, he has played a key role in ensuring that DZ BANK is today a high-performance partner for the cooperative banks as the central institution and that it has established an excellent market position in international Capital Markets business. Souad Benkredda will join the Bank on 1 September 2022.

Souad Benkredda (45) has more than twenty years of experience in the finance industry. She began her career at Deutsche Bank in 2001 after studying at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University and the University of Paris-Dauphine. There, the business graduate (German "Diplom-Kauffrau") held various management positions in different markets during the 16 years she worked in Capital Markets business for Deutsche Bank, including in Structuring, Sales and Client Coverage in Frankfurt and London. In 2017, she joined Standard Chartered Bank, where she was initially responsible for the Financial Markets business in the Middle East and North Africa, based in Dubai. In 2020 she was appointed as Global Head of Strategic Investor Group Sales at Standard Chartered Bank and is responsible for serving institutional clients. A native of Frankfurt, she is married and the mother of twins.
