Welcome to Mumbai and India

Mumbai is the financial capital of India while New Delhi is the political capital of the country.

DZ BANK decided to set up its office in South Mumbai, in the heart of the vibrant city. The representative office, after all the statutory approvals, was opened in February 1996 initially at the World Trade Centre in Colaba and within two years shifted to the seaside of Nariman Point office.

Maharashtra Government is an investment-friendly state and has always been the top recipient of German FDI. It launched a new industrial policy in 2019, for incentives on new manufacturing units to attract investments.

Indo German Trade stood at USD 31 bio for year 2022. The product groups that dominate this trade are machinery, chemicals, and electricals. There are 2000 German companies already located in India. Germany ranks 9th amongst top FDI investors in India. In FY 2022, Germany invested USD 547 million in India. The sectors that were the recipients of this FDI are services, computer software, and the trading sector. India is now increasingly being seen as a global hub for innovation and research.
