Your customer exports marketable commodities
The credit is granted to the buyer either directly or through his house bank by DZ BANK. The credit is repaid using the foreign exchange revenues in euro or US dollars that your customer generates from the sale of marketable commodities. Marketable commodities are e.g. petroleum, natural gas, metals but also various types of agricultural produce.
The buyer credit with countertrade is used in countries with low foreign exchange reserves and a high sovereign risk.

Your advantages:

  • Are similar to those of the buyer credit. By combining a buyer credit with a structured trade finance facility you can enter into transactions with business partners in countries with a high sovereign risk. The minimum order amount for a buyer credit with countertrade is currently EUR 10 million.
