DZ BANK appoints Stefan Zeidler to its Board of Managing Directors
Stefan Zeidler (49) will become new Member of the Board of Managing Directors of DZ BANK AG with effect from 1 October 2013. He will succeed Hans-Theo Macke (63), who has served the cooperative financial network for more than 20 years, since 2009 as Member of the Board of Managing Directors of DZ BANK, and who will retire as planned at the end of his contract on 31 December 2013.
As Member of the Board of Managing Directors of the cooperative financial network’s central institution, Zeidler will take over responsibility for Corporate Banking. He is currently Chief Executive Officer of Rheinland-Pfalz Bank in Mainz and is responsible for Corporate and Private Banking. In this role he has market responsibility for the regions Rhineland-Palatinate, Hesse und North-Rhine Westphalia.

Zeidler was appointed Member of the Board of Managing Directors of Rheinland-Pfalz Bank in 2008. The Graduate in Business Management previously held, over a period of 15 years, management positions in the Corporate Banking business of Baden-Württembergische Bank, Landesbank Baden-Württemberg and ABN AMRO Bank Deutschland. Born in Stuttgart, he obtained his school-leaving certificate (Abitur) in 1984 and began his career at Cannstatter Volksbank, where he completed his two-year training as a bank officer. He then graduated with a degree in Business Administration from the Academy for Administration and Business Management in Stuttgart. He is married and has two children.
